Towpath Trundle

So I've missed another week and this weeks blog is super late. Unfortunately I have been very busy lately with a new house to oragnise and a world cup has just kicked off. Next week I will be away also as I am going to be wedding venue viewing. Its all very busy. For this reason I will be breaking this blog into two parts as it was a long walk and it deserves it anyway.

This week I walked along the Sheffield and Tinsley Canal from Victoria quays to Meadowhall. The Canal runs for 3.9 miles from Tinsley where it leaves the river Don on the way into the centre of Sheffield. Opened in 1819 its main purpose as part of a bigger network was to allow transit of goods to and from the north sea via the humber. Nowadays it is far more pleasure than business with facilities for narrow boats, fishing and wildlife.

As all but the first three of the photos are from the canal I have resisted the urge to caption the photos. I hope as always you enjoy the pictures. Please check out the Twitter the Facebook and my Etsy shop.
