Door to Dore

You know when sometimes books or films start with the name then fill in the story afterwards? Well this weeks blog is very much in that vein and I never can resist a pun. Cities are not all about tall buildings, concrete and traffic the suburbs play a big part too. The suburbs of Sheffield are greener and leafier than most. My route took me from my home to the lovely village of Dore now a suburb of Sheffield it used to be part of Derbyshire.

As you can see from some of the pictures Dore is one of the wealthiest wards in Sheffield. My walk took me through Ecclesall Woods a large area of semi natural deciduous woodland that has up to 15km of paths. Its somewhere I will have to return to cover more fully. I hope you enjoy it and as always check out the Twitter the Facebook and my Etsy shop.
